How to use it
- Paste the link of any public YouTube video and press Get tags.
- The tags appear as a list, together with the category, length, publish date and view count.
- Copy tags copies them separated by commas, the format YouTube Studio's tag box accepts.
How much tags matter
YouTube says tags play a minimal role in a video's discovery: the title, thumbnail and description matter far more. Tags are mainly useful when a topic is often misspelled. So treat another video's tags as a look at how the creator described the topic, not as a ranking trick.
What not to copy
Don't paste another channel's name or unrelated popular terms into your own tags. YouTube's rules treat misleading metadata as spam and can remove the video.
